Welcome to my ePortfolio. My name is Adele Bartlett, Addie for short, and I am a Television-Radio major with a concentration in Media Production and I plan to graduate in Spring 2016.
I am an aspiring TV studio producer/director and I’ve loved television and movies since I can remember. I dream of one day being able to direct like I’ve done in my TV Studio Production classes, and be in charge of the control room and what the audience is seeing. I want to be able to have all of this hard work seen by millions of television viewers.
The way television is being produced has changed so vigorously in the past 20 years. Media is being produced at such a higher and faster rate than ever before, and I want to be right in the middle of it experiencing it all in the studio. I want to help change the media and be able to connect to millions of people with my visions. I’ve been told that this is the time to shape what I want to be and what I want to do once I graduate from school. David Muir told our S’Park class that we should network, and keep in good relation with our professors because we never know what connections we’ll make in college. Another alumni Bill D’Elia was explaining how he has more of a self made job, and the he doesn’t fit into one category and how that is perfectly okay because he is passionate about his work. It was so inspirational to hear that our field of communications, media, television, movies, etc., is ever changing and is different for each person. My S’Park class has helped me by showing me what careers are available and what I need to do to be able to achieve my goal. The class has shown me how the business has changed, and what I will need to prepare for in the next 2 years at school. In these next 2 years I hope to gain as much experience in the studio as possible so I can become a good candidate for upcoming jobs and internships in the field. I hope to be able to create my own career and happiness in the field with the help of Ithaca College.
By studying Television-Radio I hope to get the experience needed so I can take any chances that are available to me.
