Brief Description

I am currently enrolled in the transitional DPT program at Ithaca College, New York. I will be graduating in November 2010 and will then pursue obtaining my physical therapy license. College has provided me with many opportunities for growth such as clinical affiliations, professional development, and courses in musculoskeletal evaluation and examination, therapeutic exercise, pharmacology, differential diagnosis, and pathology, for example. At school I have participated in clubs and activities to add to my personal growth. Some activities include equestrian club, APTA, Relay for Life, and various fundraisers on campus.

In addition to learning, I have many other interests. I have traveled to countries such as Australia, China, Taiwan, Venezuela, England, Ireland, and all over the Caribbean. I have experienced many different cultures and traditions which makes me feel comfortable with the diversity in people. I also enjoy many outdoor activities from growing up in the rural part of New Jersey. Activities like backpacking on the Appalachian Mountains, kayaking in the Delaware River, rock climbing, skiing or snowboarding, horseback riding, and hiking allow me to be physically active in nature.

According to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, I have a INTP preference. This means "Introversion, Intuition, Thinking, and Perceiving". My personality posses such strengths as:

  • being adaptable and respond to new opportunities
  • seek out experts and ask for information
  • use technology effectively in career
  • thinking strategically and seeing the big picture
  • works best through problems privately before explaining to others
  • flexibility
