Welcome to my e-portfolio!

           My name is Amanda Packard, I am currently a freshman at Ithaca College, studying at the Roy H. Park School of Communications. I am pursuing a Cinema / Photography Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Screenwriting and a minor in Psychology. 

           I have many goals in life. At this point in my life I want to work in the film industry, however I want to concentrate in literature to film adaptations not only in scripts but in filmmaking as well. This goal is based off my beliefs that adaptations promote literacy and makes kids and adults alike want to read. Other goals I have include seeing more of the world, making a difference, but on the small scale- just succeeding to the best of my ability here at Ithaca College. 

          Although I have ambitious goals I know that I have a lot to learn. I need to learn my own technique, my style, and find my niche within the world of film. I have yet to be fluent in the technology used by the industry. Regardless of what I have to learn, I know that I am a fast learner and have the ability to do anything.

          The experiences and opportunities that IC will offer will help me learn the tools of the trade. I plan on working on projects with fellow classmates and my professors where I will learn what I need to learn and gain experience in the field that I love.
