"Writing about music is like dancing about architecture."
Hi, I'm Bronwyn. I'm a freshman television-radio major at Ithaca College with a concentration in scriptwriting and a minor in the honors program. I am a writer first and foremost. I am primarily a dramatic writer, having written scripts for film, television, and the theatre. My main passions are comedy writing and music writing. I love music, and one of my goals is to write about it for a living. I'm fascinated by outsider art, which is art made by those who have no connection to the mainstream art world, whether because of mental illness, reclusiveness, or other reasons. My particular focus is outsider music, which I have been studying and blogging about for quite some time. I am inspired by people who make art simply as an expression of their own personal vision and worldview, rather than as a means to a commercial end. I don't believe in "good" and "bad" art, only in honest art. Besides writing, my other passion is radio. I am currently a DJ on VIC radio here at IC, and I hope to work in radio for the rest of my life as a DJ and in an administrative context. I am also a singer, an actor, a director, a Leadership Scholar, and a proud resident of Bethlehem, PA. I have many goals; there are simply so many things I love and want to do. Hopefully, within five to ten years, I will be working at a non-commercial radio station, working as a freelance music writer, and seeing my scripts unfold on the stage and screen.
