Hi, my name is Connor McCune and I am currently a Cinema and Photography major at Ithaca College and I expect to graduate in the spring of 2016.
I am an aspiring television creator and writer. It’s an understatement to say that I am obsessed with television. I am fascinated by the incredible amount of work that goes in to creating a riveting show. I want to be involved in this process. Currently, at Ithaca College, I have already been involved in numerous projects that have given me a better idea of the television and film industry. I have worked on the ICTV show, “Ithapocalypse” as 1st Assistant Camera. I have also worked as a Production Assistant on a senior’s thesis film. This on-set experience has been truly rewarding and makes me even more excited to pursue my own ideas.
I have been interested in video for many years, creating a talk show, “Interview Me” during which I interviewed fictional characters (my siblings) when I was twelve. And although my squeaky voice has deepened since then, my passion to create engaging media has never faltered. I want to transport people out of their lives and into worlds I have created where they can find characters to relate to, familiar situations, and stories that amaze them. I yearn to bring all the ideas bouncing around in my head to television screens around the world.
After school, I hope to get into the television and film business as a writer. I hope to work in a creative environment where I can express the unique visions I know I am capable of.
