Since the age of ten, I’ve been extremely involved in theatrical productions in performance, technical, and administrative roles. Through such involvement, performing arts has become my passion. Additionally, I’ve always been the “managerial” type, continually chairing events at school, church, and elsewhere. These events allowed me to utilize my leadership, planning, and execution skills to the fullest and convinced me that management was my destined future.
When it came time to choose my career path, I only had one dilemma—what was I going to do with my love for theatre? Was there a way to combine both my love of theatre as well as my love for business? Fortunately, there was. After scouring the depths of many a college website, I discovered the field of “Arts Management.” This discovery lead to the beginning of many endeavors that allowed my strengths to flourish.

The benefit to managing the arts, in my opinion, is comprised of two parts—I not only get to live my dream of remaining close to the arts, but I get to help others live their dreams. And that, to me, is the life I've always imagined.
