Hello, and welcome to my ePortfolio. My name is Dana Kempf and I'm a Television/Radio major at Ithaca College. Right now I'm trying to fill out the requirements for declaring a Theatre minor, so hoping that all goes well. I am expecting to graduate in the spring of 2016, unless something unexpected happens along the way.
Right now, I'm not entirely sure what I want to be doing in my life. I know I want to be involved with some type of theatre or acting, whether it's helping out behind the scenes on Broadway, acting on TV, or being involved with community theatre. I decided to go into Television/Radio because I have experience with being in front of the camera and it's a good idea for me to know how to work equipment "behind the camera." I love TV and radio. Some of my favorite shows are, "The Big Bang Theory," "Ghost Hunters," and "Ghost Adventures." It would be a dream come true for me to help behind the scenes of "Ghost Adventures," or help the guys on an investigation. I find it really cool that I'm learning about how to make shows and produce them. Who knows, maybe my path will change and I'll want to create or produce TV shows or radio shows of my own. I'm open to new possibilities and anything that comes my way. If there's an opportunity to learn something interesting in this field, I will gladly check it out.
Since I really don't know what I want to be doing, I'm trying everything out. I am a DJ on WICB Radio and enjoy my time there. I tried getting involved with shows on ICTV, but sadly I couldn't fit filming days into my schedule this semester. Next semester, I definitely want to try out for the cast or help on crew, either which I will enjoy. Hopefully being involved in these programs will help me decide what exactly it is I want to do with my life. I know that the media is constantly changing, so I have to make sure I keep up with it.
Come on in and take a look around my page. Make sure to leave the door open for others to come in and visit. There's punch and chips on the table against the wall. Enjoy yourself!
