About Me

I am an Integrated Marketing Communications major at Ithaca College. I chose to attend Ithaca College because of the nurturing and freedom of creativity that the Park School encourages. Music is a very important part of my life which is why I would one day like to make a career out of it. Aside from this I am interested in finding a career which allows me to be creative while still maintaining a sense of professionalism.  I am goal oriented and have accomplished a number of goals I set out to achieve at college in a short time.

I am a manager and student supervisor at the Campus Center Dining Hall at Ithaca College. I was able to achieve this position after one semester as a student worker. Our supervisor staff is trained to use hands on management to encourage students to work to their fullest potential. I look forward to continuing to work with new students in the dining hall in the coming years.

My interest in music led me to become involved in the college's radio station (WICB) during my freshman year. I worked at the station over breaks and over the summer to develop a complete sense of what is involved in radio operations. I am currently working as Program Director for the station. This position on the executive staff is responsible for all content that is broadcast over the air. As Program Director I collaborate with each of the directors of our music departments, as well as the technical staff, to determine if the music they are adding is right for our market. Aside from working as Program Director I also DJ for the radio station. During the school year I am a Morning Drive DJ with a 4 hour block show. Over breaks I am on the air anywhere between 2 and 8 hours a day. I have a great passion for radio and the music we play over our airwaves.

Outside of my education I have a number of hobbies that I try to weave into my projects and presentations. I am a musician and have been working on my music as a side project. I spend my free time playing music, recording other projects and enjoying the Ithaca environment. Aside from music, I also enjoy photography in my free time as well. You can find examples, as well as a link to my Flickr page in the photo gallery on this page. I try to involve myself in a number of organizations and different projects so that I can get as many experiences as possible. I intend to travel at least some during my College experience, and money permitting some after graduation as well.
