Hello and welcome to my ePortfolio!

I'm Gwen Fernau and I'm a junior Communication Management and Design major at Ithaca College. I hail from Clinton, Massachusetts and am in love with the New England area and Boston especially. Last summer I had the opportunity to work in the great city of Boston as an events intern at The Castle Group, a communications firm that handles both events and public relations. I gained invaluable experience at Castle, working closely with our entire team to research, plan, and execute the various events. By giving me meaningful tasks and plenty of responsibility, the folks at Castle left me with a clear insight into what it takes to work in a professional firm. And I left them a little something of my own in return! As an independent project I collaborated with Castle's partner company MK3 Creative to make a video about "A Day in the Life" of a Castle intern (http://www.thecastlegrp.com/about/careers/). I've always had a passion for photography, and making videos is just as fun.

Like many students, I still haven't quite figured out where I'm headed in this big wonderful world, but I'm eager to gain more experience in the public relations and corporate communications fields.
