Geoffrey Presor, a graduate of Ithaca College's Roy H. and Dorothy D. Park Center for Business and Sustainable Enterprise, was a business administration major, concentrating in marketing, with a minor in integrated marketing communications.
Since June 2012, he has held the position of Project Developer at The Nielsen Company. There, he is a part of the BASES Team which works in the space of Innovation Analytics and client consulting. This team ultimately advises clients on new launches of CPG products.
During his time at Ithaca, Geoffrey served as vice president and as a lead instructor for the Ithaca College Ballroom Dance Team. Additionally, Geoffrey served as the team’s head event planner for all fundraisers and special occasions. Under his watch, events such as Ithaca College’s Dancing with the Stars and the spring Neon Dance Party raised hundreds of dollars for the team.
During the Fall of 2011 Geoffrey was a marketing and promotions intern at Project Look Sharp, a non-profit organization that makes and distributes curriculum kits focused on media literacy for K-12 educators. Project Look Sharp is on-campus initiative of the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies and the Department of Psychology at Ithaca College. His tasks included using his graphic design skills to makeover all promotional materials and organizing/updating the library of marketing documents as well as up-keeping and editing the client database.
For two years, he also was a member of the Student Services Team for the School of Business. The position involved being a liaison between business students and the administration. He helped with scheduling and academic services questions. Starting in 2006, Geoffrey also held a position as a jewelry specialist and sales associate at JC Penney for four years. His many years of customer service have served him well for dealing with the public and becoming a creative problem solver.
Geoffrey is an avid graphic designer and loves to make posters. He has mastered the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite programs such as InDesign and Photoshop.
Born and raised in Erie, Pa., Geoffrey attended the Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He currently resides in Norwalk CT, but loves to visit (and plans to move to) NYC. On the rare chance that he is not practicing the jive or tango he is probably enjoying some time with friends, catching up on TV, or reading anything by David Sedaris.
