My Name is Jeff Adams and I am an anthropology major from Ithaca College set to graduate with a BA during the spring of 2013. I am currently also working towards an environmental studies minor as well as an outdoor pursuits minor. My core concentrations in anthropology are cultural as well as biological. My passions are digging in the soil and being immersed within new cultures. Over the course of my college career I have traveled a good deal to study many cultures and environments.
Through my studies I have found that the best way to learn is through direct experience which is why I try to seize every opportunity to explore the world. Over the course of my education I have taken many French classes and feel confident in my ability to translate. As an Eagle Scout I understand the gift of service and hope to apply it with an open mind to cultural preservation. My work experience consists of life guarding for the federal government and currently as a zipline guide at Greek Peak Mountain Resorts. Being active is a central part of my life which is why during the Spring semester of 2013 I will be doing Ithaca's immersion semester program through the recreational outdoor studies department in partnership with Outward Bound.
If you have any interest in my past or future field experiences, travels, or employment feel free to explore my portfolio and resumé.
