Welcome to my (Josh Kay's) ePortfolio! I (Josh Kay) am a Cinema and Photography major, and I expect to graduate in the spring of 2015.
Once completed with my studies, I intend on eventually becoming a film writer and director, primarily dealing with allegorical, historical issues. My biggest influences, whom I aspire to be compared favorably to, include Academy Award nominated filmmakers Paul Thomas Anderson, Wes Anderson, and Terrence Malick.
Over the course of my collegiate career, I hope to immerse myself in all things film and communication. I find that collaborative work environments, in addition to encouraging subjection to various culture of all diversities, create the most informed, cultured, and creative individuals to interact in any type of environment, be it academic, be it social, or be it intellectual. Within four years time, I plan on being able to say I have taken classes on both production and theory, interned both domestically and abroad, and created works of which I will be proud of throughout my post-collegiate career.
"Spark: Igniting Your Future in Communications" has helped me towards just that, with its interactive and expansive lessons and lectures, aimed at indulging students with accurate depictions of the futures in communications awaiting them.
Feel free to tour my ePortfolio; after all, it was made for your enjoyment. I'm a liberal.
