My name is Kim Freitas and I am am a recent graduate from the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) program at Ithaca College's Roy H. Park School of Communications. This program taught the skills in public relations, marketing and advertising. My personal interests are in outdoor recreation, sports and tourism. Following graduation I spent one month backpacking in the Wind River Wilderness on a National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) course.

Returning for my final semester at Ithaca College, I took 18 credits and made the Roy H. Park School of Communications dean's list. I was also the Research Coordinator for IMC Lab, a senior capstone course where I helped to create a marketing plan for the Ithaca College Center for Faculty Excellence. I also worked 20 hours a week as a Lifeguard at the Athletics and Events Center pool.

During the Fall 2012 semester, I attended Ithaca College's Los Angeles program. While in Los Angeles I interned at PMK*BNC in the Brand Communications department. During this internship program I clipped and tracked media coverage for clients, drafted coverage reports and updated the agency's editorial calendar database for 2013. Finally I created a publicity campaign for Pepsi with a team of interns and presented to our supervisors.

Prior to my semester in Los Angeles, in summer 2012 I worked as a Marketing Intern for Local Echo, a start-up company in Ithaca, NY. I was an integral part of creating communications documents, editing written materials and building an online presence for the company. This position was fast paced and I worked on several projects independently. I will bring this same high energy and a positive attitude to future positions.

I can be contacted by email at Thanks for visiting my eportfolio.
