Welcome to Kristina Hamalainen's SLP Portfolio

This portfolio was designed for students of Ithaca College to highlight their experiences both within the school program and throughout their careers.  It is organized according to the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association's (ASHA) guidelines in order to reflect knowledge and skills obtained across nine areas within a speech language pathologists (SLP) scope of practice. 

As you go through my portfolio, please look for evidence of

• Knowledge and skills needed by an SLP
• Use of critical reasoning and reflective writing
• Understanding of Technology and AAC
• Documentation of collaboration, outreach, and diversity
• Professional development and personal growth

The best way to begin reviewing my portfolio is to consider what skills are needed by a Speech Language Pathologist in your organization.  Many of my experiences fit within a number of categories therefore may be featured in a number of places.  This makes the need for a complete review of all documents unnecessary.
