I am currently a Business Marketing student at Ithaca College. I hope to be involved in marketing sustainable energy, products and services to consumers and businesses for my future career path.
I am involved in many activities on campus. I belong to the “American Marketing Association”. For this organization, I helped market one of the largest events of campus, the Etiquette Dinner. I helped distribute flyers to faculty and students and collected ticket at the event itself. I am also a part of the “Women in Business” organization. Through this organization, I participate in networking events and fund raising opportunities that center around empowering women in their personal and professional lives. I am also a member of the organization “Frack Off”, which strives to educate students and the local community members about the negative effects that Fracking will have on New York State and The World. I personally, am responsible for creating posters and buildboards, as well as holding informational tabling sessions to spread more information about fracking. Lastly, I am also a member of “Ithaca's Environmental Society”, which is an organization that promotes how to live a sustainable lifestyle on and off campus. In an effort to promote sustainability, we attended the event PowerShift 2011. In past years, it has been the largest youth group effort to promote sustainable energy in the country. This year, it is expected to be an event with over 10,000 people standing up for cleaner, more sustainable energy to be used in businesses.
In my free time, I enjoy photography. Most of my subject matter is of the wonders of nature; however I do enjoy capturing everyday life as well. My goal is for capture the beauty in everything, no matter how simple or complex, through the lense of my camera. I also adore writing. I try to journal on a daily basis, in addition to creating short stories and poetry.
