My name is Leah Friedman and I am a freshman Health Sciences Pre-Med major at Ithaca College. I am in the department of Human Performance and Physical Education within the school of Health Sciences and Human Performance. Prior to my Spring 2015 graduation date I plan on making the most of my time at Ithaca College through volunteering, joining clubs, and experiencing internships. In addition to joining the Pre-med student society, I am also apart of Hillel and the clubs Invisible Children, IC ASL, Harry Potter Alliance, and To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA), the Ithaca College Chapter.
In the future I aspire to become a Physicians Assistant where I can be a part of the ever-growing health care field and make a difference in my community. I have the drive to work as hard as possible in my undergraduate years in order to set up the best possible future for myself and to achieve my dream of becoming a Physicians Assistant. I also have a particular interest in Obstetric Medicine, and my drive to learn more and eventually be a part of that field of medicine has become my goal for the next four years.
In addition to being a member of clubs, my other hobbies include being a die-hard Mets fan and traveling to other stadiums to watch Major League Baseball games. I am originally from Madison, Connecticut, a small town on the shoreline where I spent a large part of my childhood. My interests include horseback riding, writing short stories, and acting in plays and musicals. I think acting has boosted my confidence and reassured me that I can do anything that I want.
