Welcome to my Eportfolio and thank you for taking the time to view it. My name is Lindsay Harris. I am a first year graduate student at Ithaca College in the Physical Therapy Doctorate Program.  I recently attained a major in Clinical Health Studies, a minor in Exercise Science and have taken some masters classes in Exercise Physiology. I plan to try to possibly continue the Exercise Physiology degree after I finish the Physical Therapy program. I believe that understanding the physiology of the body when under the stress of exercise is important to understand when designing an exercise program for a client. It has also been a passion of mine to understand how exercise effects the body ever since I took my first Anatomy and Physiology course. I now work as a teaching assistant for that Anatomy and Physiology course on campus.

Aside from understanding the human body, one of my other main interests is athletics. I have participated in all different sports throughout my life, earning all-league awards in high school and taking time to coach younger athletes. I have continued this passion into college and ran indoor and outdoor track here at Ithaca while I was an undergraduate and have played club basketball for the past two years. I also continue to stay active in intramural sports throughout the year. I hope to one day coach childrens' teams while practicing Physical Therapy because I think fitness in children is very important and enjoy working with kids.
