My name is Raviv Dlin and I am a freshman at Ithaca College. My major is health science with a pre-med emphasis. I was born in Jerusalem, Israel then moved to Vancouver, Canada, but I spent most of my life in Plano, Texas. I have worked as a nursing assistant in Texas at some of the best Hospitals in the state. I have spent time volunteering at free clinics, veterinary offices, and a day care center, while working to become a certified nursing assistant.
I plan on working as an emergency medical technician during my summers at Ithaca. My long term goals, after graduating Ithaca College, are to go to medical school and then do a surgical residence afterwards. I believe I have the drive and dedication required to get through medical school and complete a residency program.
I am looking forward to traveling down the difficult path that leads to becoming a doctor. I want to do what I can to help fight against heart disease, because I lost my father to a heart attack in 2010. I plan on becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon and working in an emergency room.
