Ryan Zettlemoyer, baritone/conductor

Ryan Zettlemoyer is a versatile musician, attaining similar success as a baritone and conductor. Ryan was born in Philadelphia, and lived most of his life in Browns Mills, New Jersey, before coming to Ithaca College to study both Vocal Performance and Music Education.

As a baritone, Ryan has been involved in most main stage operas performed at Ithaca College while he has attended. He has given an art song recital, and will perform another in the fall of 2013. He has been in the Ithaca College Choir for four years, and the Ithaca College Madrigal Singers for three, both under the direction of Lawrence Doebler. Ryan currently studies privately with Patrice Pastore at Ithaca College.

As a conductor, Ryan has worked extensively with young singers, as well as amateur college ensembles. In the fall of 2012, he was selected to be a Dana Intern for the Ithaca Children's Choir in Ithaca, New York. In this position, he leads sections of rehearsal in five separate ensembles of singers ages 8-18. His mentors in this program include Dr. Janet Galvan, Dr. Emily Mason, Michael Wade, and Emily Richards. In addition, he is the Music Director and Recital Coordinator for the Delta Chapter of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity at Ithaca College. He has studied conducting primarily with Dr. Janet Galvan and Lawrence Doebler.

After his graduation in December 2013, Ryan plans to seek a music teaching position in the public schools.
