Stephen Adams

About

Stephen is a freshman journalism major at Ithaca College and member of the Society of Professional Journalists. He currently works as an assistant producer for ICTV's Newswatch 16. In addition, Stephen appears as a regular contributor on "Experts Say," also airing on ICTV. He was just recently named co-producer for the spring 2013 season. Stephen can also be heard, doing live news updates, on Mondays and Fridays on VIC and WICB radio, respectively.

Previously, Stephen interned at WROC and WUHF-TV in Rochester, NY. His work at WROC-TV earned him a paid summer internship, afforded through the New York State Broadcaster's Association. Stephen made his national television debut at age 16 on the nationally-syndicated educational program Teen Kids News. The Emmy-nominated series airs on over 200 TV stations across the country and in 175 countries worldwide. The program is also seen in 12,600 schools through a classroom education feed. Stephen served as a freelance reporter, with segments airing on two seasons of the program. Prior to his television experience, Stephen interned as a video editor at Fusion Productions in Webster, NY.

Personal Statement

"I am an aspiring young broadcaster with a passion for news. I see myself becoming either a national correspondent or a news producer. I hope to inform people about issues that matter and give a voice to those who have none."
